Press Release Body: --FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE--
LONDON, UK - October 12, 2008 - Premier Booking & Management Co. in cooperation with Po' Boy Films, Mike the Pike Films, LLC and the newly formed Cold Weather Films, will be working together to create a handful of feature films during 2009. Some of those pictures include: Fish in a Barrel, Spats, A Still Small Voice, Dead Dog, Worthless, Brothers By Blood, Give it Up, Under the Cherry Tree, Children of th Night, Shadow Market, and several other pictures. According to IMDB.com, the companies are currently underway with two productions.
In a short phone interview with Hulon Crayton II, executive producer, talent manager with and owner of Premier Booking & Management Co., he stated "I am excited to see the direction we have taken as a company. We have major film distribution interest already for a handful of our projects, just based on the reading of our scripts and concepts so far. As a result, we expect several releases for Spring and Summer '09. I hope things go well and am rather excited to get on set and take the next step." In response to his statement, and as a former reporter, I know that it is rare for an indy company to get offers or an LOI (letters of intent) right off the bat, so I am excited to see the finished product, as I'm sure many in the entertainment business are as well. In conveying that to Mr. Crayton, he assured me that I will have a front seat to the first screening. Laughingly, I accepted. In pressing him for details on whose who, which actors, which distribution companies maybe involved, he mentioned to me that he is not allowed to mention by contract, but assures that he has an A-List cast and worldwide placement options. So once again, my anticipation an interest has peeked.
According to my sources, filming parters, either as producers or parters, others involved in the development of the projects include Jeff Rose, executive producer of the film release Waitress, which grossed over $50 million dollars, Fred Williamson, who has grossed over $200 million dollars as an actor, producer, director and had successes as an NFL football player, had been involved in films such as Starsky & Hutch, Star Trek and Chips.
The overall development of Hulon's company started as a music management company, but now handles actors, screenplay writers, models, post-production sound, product manufacturing and distribution and now film productions, all within the 2007-2008 years. Although not the largest company, they have made several strides in entertainment. One reporter compared them to the Firm, in their early years. As a publicist and advocate for the entertainment business, I feel that they are on the right path to become a very competitive as an entertainment management and film production company in the next 5-10 years. They do not have a lot of marquee clients, but I'm sure will over time.
